To prevent any inconsistencies of replicated data during planned maintenance/downtime of the SAP system follow these steps to gracefully pause replication via SNP Glue:

Turning off Glue Scheduler
Go to SNP Glue cockpit using:
Start transaction /DVD/GLUE.
Click on Glue Scheduler.
Click on the Stopbutton for each configurated Glue Scheduler.
(Obsolete) Turning off Glue Watchdogs:
Go to SNP Glue cockpit using Start transaction /DVD/GLUE.
Click on Delta watchdog.
Click on Stop Watchdog, and go through every watchdog that is populated.
(Obsolete) Turning off the Extraction Scheduler:
Go to Start transaction SM37.
Enter the name of the job (ZDVD_GL_ESCH) into the filter and list all jobs.
Stop any scheduled jobs.
After turning off every Glue Scheduler, make sure there are no replication jobs still running:
To make sure no replication jobs are still running, enter SNP Glue Cockpit using transaction /DVD/GLUE, where you can and enter the Request monitor.
Selection filter will open, no need to adjust anything:
If no replication jobs are running, the Request monitor should look like this:
Turning off SNP Java Connector:
Go to JCO management using Start transaction /DVD/JCO_MNG, turned on Java Connector is marked by a green tick in the column Connection. To stop JCO click on the button Stop all to turn off all Java Connectors or click on the Stop button to stop Java Connector.

Starting SNP Java Connector:
Go to JCO management using Start transaction /DVD/JCO_MNG, turned off Java Connector is marked by a red cross in the column Connection. To start JCO click on the button Restart all to turn on all Java Connectors or click on the Restart button to start a particular Java Connector.
Successful start of Java Connector will be marked by a green check in the column Connection.
Storage connection check:
After a successful Java Connector start, we recommend checking created storage connections. Using transaction /DVD/SM_SETUP enter the storage management,.
Choose the storage connection that is used and then click on the Checkbutton.
If everything works, the output should look similar to this example:
