Non-SAP data replication, in our domain also known as "Storage to Storage extraction" can be used if you want to replicate the data between two data storages.

The difference between this scenario and the standard (Glue-2208) SAP table data replication scenario is that the source data is not read from SAP primary database but from external storage.

You can choose any storage that is supported by Storage Management. The only requirement is the data from the source storage must be stored in a structured form.

Below, you can find a step-by-step manual of on how to set up and execute the extraction of data between 2 storage.

  1. Create source Glue Table based on the existing data structure on the source storage
  2. Create SNP Glue™ Table Fetcher with previously created source Glue table
  3. Create target Glue Table defining the data structure on the target storage
  4. Create SNP Glue™ Table Consumer using target Glue table
  5. Create (Glue-2208) Extraction Process with previously created Glue Table Fetcher and Glue Table Consumer
  6. (Glue-2208) Extraction Process
