In this step, you select DataProviders, which you want to offload and also you define their offloading condition. 

There are 3 types of DataProviders, which you may offload:

  1. InfoProviders
  2. Tables (DDIC)
  3. Tables (HANA native)

Select DataProviders which you want to offload

  1. You may either click Define DataProvider on the main screen or select Add DataProvider in the Wizard.

  2. In the following screen choose your Source Storage, Category, Offloading Interface and Name of the InfoProvider you want to offload. In the case you want to offload more InfoProviders at once click .

    Note

    You may add only supported types of DataProviders, which you can find in the (2108) Supported Types of DataProviders


  3. After clicking Select, set the Target Storage and enter a new Group ID or choose an existing one. If you chose more InfoProviders, you may display your selection by clicking  and choosing Multiple selections.
  4. Click Create, which navigates you to the next step where you define an offloading condition.

To define an offloading condition:

  1. Continue with the Wizard or click on the main screen Edit offloading condition (1) by a specific DataProvider. The displayed offloading condition contains a maximum of 128 characters. 
  2. In the Choose Fields dialog, select the fields on which the condition will be based on. This step is skipped if the DTO interface is used.
  3. In the case, you chose a time characteristic, the following dialog appears.
  4. If you choose to confirm, you proceed with the definition of the relative condition (e.g. $current_year - 2).

  5. In the last step, set the absolute condition for the fields you chose. Next to every field, you have also a select option.

Write-Optimized DSOs contain a specific field, which can be chosen for the offloading condition. More information can be found in the chapter (2108) Defining an Offloading Condition for Write-Optimized DSO
To set a relative condition for the field-based ADSOs, it is necessary to create a mapping between the field name and the InfoObject. More information can be found in the chapter (2108) Field-based ADSO.
Note

It is necessary to choose at least one condition (relative or absolute condition).


It is also possible to edit multiple conditions at once. Select lines from the ALV grid, choose them from the context menu and select Change condition.

To display the complete condition (the current condition, its absolute and relative part, and the already offloaded condition), just click on the Offloading Condition itself.
